Firsts

Today was our second full day home together as a family of 5. We're still feeling the sluggishness of jet-lag and poor sleep, but it helps having both of us at home. There have been many "firsts" already with Olivia, such as her first bath with us, first outdoor walk, first table food with us (she likes peas but not baby jar food or anything sweet) etc.

Olivia was awake more of the time today and and the boys enjoyed interacting with here. They like to kiss her hands and cheeks, and she often responds with smiles. She is so sweet, seems to have a gentle spirit. Right now she is so busy absorbing everything new and she often is busy studying our faces. Ben enjoyed feeding cheerios to Olivia and Sam helped bring baby toys to her when she was fussy.
We went on a walk this afternoon and she seems to enjoy the stroller and she seems to like being outside. That's good; our family likes being outdoors and active.

Life is getting getting back to "normal", and that includes projects around the house. Today we continued working on our front landscaping project. Right now we're trying to separate the dirt from the river rocks so that we can re-use them. I bought a piece of expanded metal and we're using this to filter the rocks from the dirt. Anyone have any better ideas? Our first attempt was spraying them with a water hose but that just made everything muddy.
