We just had a lovely first meeting with Olivia. She came with her foster mother and her social worker was there too. She is so cute! We held her and played with her and she took a special liking to my (Kari) finger (she's teething...)! Her foster mother seems like a wonderful woman and has obviously given Olivia lots of love. Her foster father sounds like he's also very involved, which is pretty great. They are an older couple with grown children.
We were quite relieved there was no shrieking or fussing of any sort. She seemed to be taking everything in and was very willing to let us hold her and even cuddle.
We'll spend some time with her tomorrow, too, as well as meet with the directors of the agency and attend a staff lunch.
Now, we're in serious need of some sleep...
Thanks for checking in!

Yeah! Love the pics - We've been checking the blog a lot in the last hour to see if you have an update - She's adorable and already seems to have a bond with you! God is good! We'll pray for a great night of sleep for you two and your daughter! (Love the sound of that!)

We LOVE the pictures....send as many as you can. Olivia looks so happy and fun....what a darling little girls. Can hardly wait to meet her! The boys are doing very well...couldn't believe how well they went to sleep tonight. Hardly heard a word from them. They are loving the presents each day, that is a great idea. Ben and I played the math game tonight and of course, he loved it. Sam is sleeping in the big bed, and seems to think it is great. Both of the boys follow Darren around all day!Take care and get some sleep. God Bless, Mom and Dad C.

Dave and Kari, we are so excited for you!!! She is just a doll, how absolutely wonderful that God has blessed you with such a beautiful new daughter (and in turn, she is so blessed to have YOU as parents!)
