Good Memories

Yesterday was particularly special, especially for Dave, since he got to hold Olivia more. The first meeting was held in a computer room (with some other people in it) since they didn't have enough available rooms. We got some time with just the three of us and Olivia seemed comfortable with both of us. We're really thankful for the foster dad's involvement!
The foster mom gave us a photo album of pictures she had taken of Olivia, very special. You can tell she has loved Olivia and cares for her deeply.
Apparently Olivia usually has some stranger anxiety, and the foster mom commented that we were made to be together when she saw how Olivia was with us.
Next time we see her it will be early Monday morning, on the way to the airport!

Happy Father's Day Dave. Olivia is very lucky to have you for her daddy! Will be praying for you as you pick up your little one and bring her home on Monday. Safe travels.

Hi Dave and Kari,
I hope you're all home safe and sound. We can't wait to hear about the details of your experience and meet your new daughter. We'll have to get out our calendars and pick a date to have you over before school starts.

I wanted to let you know about a photographer that we just worked with and really enjoyed. She is part of a group called "Celebrating Adoption" so she offers a special deal to families that have adopted in the past year. She does one adoption session per month, so if you're interested, you should call her asap to set something up. She is really low-key, friendly with the kids and we loved the portraits she made. Here's her info:

Olivia is such a doll and fits into your family beautifully! I love all the pics. We've been praying the bonding would go smoothly and I'm delighted to see and hear it has! God is good!

Can't wait to meet Olivia and to see those awesome big brothers she has again sometime soon! Until then...rest well!
